Maize Varieties

Kingshay has evaluated the top maize varieties for mainstream and marginal sites for 15 years.

Five sites were established this year around the UK to cover a range of soil types and heat units to match members own growing conditions.

Trial Layout - Each variety is sown in 6 or 8 row, field length plots (minimum 100 metres) at 45,000 / 42,000 seeds per acre and replicated three times to provide data suitable for statistical analysis.

Ongoing results are reported to members.
