Many farmers make contact to start the process of soi recovery because they are driven by health problems in their livestock.  These problems vary from unusual conditions, such as unexplained abortions, or calf deaths to the more common mastitis, lameness and fertility issues.  In extreme cases imbalanced soils affect the forage and therefore the livestock to such a degree that an almost complete breakdown of the immune system occurs.  The effect is dramatic and most unnerving for those working with the livestock.  Animals are lost to the most basic diseases as their impact is enhanced through almost non-existent immune response.
