Summer grazing for young cattle should incorporate a planned strategy to reduce exposure to worms but allow development of immunity. Good management of pastures to reduce worm burdens will improve cattle growth rates and decrease the need for anthelmintics. Our Strategic Worm Control Farming Note has been designed to address grazing management in order to reduce pasture contamination with worms. It also looks at developing natural immunity, dosing strategies and methods, as well as monitoring the worm burdens in your dairy herd.
