Diet Feeders can cost up to £2,000 per cubic metre of mixer capacity – a major investment for the average dairy farmer. This report aims to help you buy wisely and get the most from your Diet Feeders. The Report analyses information from a survey of Kingshay farmer members. The data was then enhanced by conducting our own intensive on-farm test of seven different Diet Feeders. Test machines included all the main types of mixer wagons – vertical auger, horizontal auger, paddle and barrel. |
