Youngstock Rearing Costs

Rearing youngstock is a major investment and needs to be done cost effectively, especially with input costs rising. Heifer rearing needs to be target driven to achieve good quality heifers at 2 years of age. Rearing heifers in 2 years is more cost effective than in 2.5 or 3 years. Heifers are the future of the herd – treat them well and let them pay you back
