Having qualified from Edinburgh University as a vet, Navaratnam has worked in farm animal clinical practice, academia and both the pharmaceutical industry and ruminant nutritional health industry. Most of his work has been dairy focused.

Over the years Navaratnam has also completed a post graduate qualification in Dairy Health and production and finished a study into large scale dairy farming in the U.S. and China. While in academia, he also managed a calf rearing unit and large flock of sheep.

Navaratnam's current role in clinical practice involves co-ordinating our Pro Dairy Veterinary Consultancy service which is available to all farmers and involves working with a group of dairy focused vets.
