Marketing & PR Administrator

JOB TITLE: Marketing & PR Administrator

LOCATION: Glastonbury, Somerset. This role is office based so you must live locally.

SALARY: up to £25,000 DOE

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:30am till 5:00pm

THE ROLE: You will be a key member of the team and work closely with other departments within the office . You will be responsible for overseeing the online learning platform and providing support to the technical services teams. This will particularly involve developing and coordinating marketing materials, social media engagement and other activities to promote further sales. Working within a small, but enthusiastic and high-profile team, this exciting position will provide a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual to develop new and existing skills in all aspects of the job.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing & PR

You will be involved in creating a range of technical reports and professionally printed material for company members, as well as designing and producing promotional material in house. Duties to include:

  • Designing product fliers, year planners, report covers and other business literature
  • Producing a quarterly company newsletter using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creating commercial adverts and display materials

Online Learning Platform

The role will include supporting with the company training eLearning platform. Duties to include:

  • Maintaining the Word Press website, ensuring course descriptions are correct and prices are up to date and update content as required
  • Maintaining the Moodle learning management system, uploading new courses and setting up new learners.

Website Content

The website is a major feature for our client. They also provide a shop selling reports as well as tools and services.

  • Maintaining the Word Press website, ensuring product descriptions are correct and prices are up to date and update content as required
  • Publishing Insight Notes, Technical Reports, Newsletters and other documents on the website
  • Analysing user trends using Google Analytics and internal data and circulating the results to all members of staff
  • Continuously reviewing the website content and usability to ensure best possible user interaction
  • Ensuring suitable, trained cover within team for periods of holiday/absence.
  • Planning and actively supporting website updates and development projects.

General Administration Duties

Working within a small team you will also be expected to carry out general office duties which will include administration, telephone answering, computer support and assisting with various office based tasks to allow the operation of a successful office.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Excellent computer skills, with the ability to quickly develop new skills.
  • A can-do attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills, together with competent verbal and written communication skills
  • A good team player but with the initiative and drive to work on their own.
  • Confidence in engaging with social media, with a clear understanding of the benefits, sensitivities and pitfalls
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Word Press, Articulate and Moodle would be preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Artistic flair, bringing new ideas to promote our services
  • Competent literacy and numeracy skills that are supported by English and Maths qualifications at GCSE or equivalent level. Higher level qualifications in an agricultural related subject would be desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to improving personal skills and understanding our business.
