Dairy Management Academy is the leading training programme for
ambitious young dairy professionals to develop their herd
management skills alongside their work, to progress herd
productivity and sustainability.


DIY AI

Our Defra‑approved Artificial Insemination training is available as a full three‑day course or as a one‑day refresher, giving you the flexibility to choose what suits you and your team best.

These courses are designed for farmers at every level. Strengthen your herd’s fertility and maximise breeding success.

Cattle Emergency Foot First Aid

Gain the confidence to deal with lame cows quickly and effectively on farm, with our specialist Hoof Trimming and Emergency Foot Care course.

Practice hoof blocking and trimming on live cows while learning how to identify, prevent and treat common foot health issues.

Administering Medicines

Gain a clear understanding of the responsible use of medicines on farm, including the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance and its impact on antibiotic use.

Calving

Lambing

Prepare for lambing season with our practical, in-person course. Covering everything from recognising normal lambing and knowing when to intervene, to managing common lambing problems and dealing with difficult presentations.

Develop essential skills in newborn lamb care, tube feeding, head rope placement, castration and tail docking, helping you improve lamb survival and welfare.

Unpacking for Camelids

Prepare for a successful birthing season with this practical, hands-on course. Learn how to manage the periparturient dam, recognise the signs of labour, support normal deliveries, and respond to common birthing emergencies.

Gain confidence in neonatal cria checks and care, helping to give both mother and cria the best possible start.
