Completing Soil Assessments for the SFI
The aim of the improved grassland soils standard is to enhance soil health, structure, organic matter, and soil biology. It will also contribute to improved water quality, climate resilience and biodiversity. There are three actions at introductory level and four at the intermediate level - as introduced in the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) insight. This business insight is the first of two, summarising the details of Action 1 for the SFI Improved Grassland Soils Standard: completing a soil assessment. The second publication will look at assessing risks and producing a soil management plan.
