Slurry Storage Options Farming Note
NVZ regulations required English and Welsh dairy farms to have 5 months of slurry storage by the 1st January 2012. Whilst some farms will have to invest in extra storage, fully understanding the NVZ regulations is vital as there is considerable scope to legitimately reduce the requirement for storage from the headline 5 month period.
This Farming Note covers:
- Planning permission and EA approval
- Slurry storage options
Issued September 2009.
